Have you ever wondered what sumo wrestlers eat daily? Well there is this one type of food called chanko nabe which is basically meat and vegetables cooked in a pot. They fry and eat Chinese food, sashimi which is basically raw fish, and a couple stews. Most of the younger   sumo wrestlers eat rice and hamburger steaks which they consider their favorite. However they only eat two times a day which is a fair amount on their situation.

The reason they don’t eat breakfast if they don’t eat breakfast it makes the body go into a type of “survival” mode. This decreases the amount of metabolism and keeps your fat in your body so that it conserves your energy. When you take in lots of food and go to sleep all that calories of the food goes to your fat cells which increases the amount of fat in your body. Sumo wrestlers workout in the morning without any food which makes people sleepy and drag. This causes sumo wrestlers to eat more after the exercises since they are so tired.
